I am shopping for a new bed set and i usually just buy a bed-in-bag but i want something of higher quality and i am noticing lots of places sell duvet covers and comforters what is the difference between them and which one do i need? Or should i get both?
Right now we have a huge comfortor that won’t fit into convential washers and dryers, and that is getting to be annoying. I am looking to cover it, but I can’t figure out the difference between a coverlet and a duvet!

I bought a duck feather “quilt” today, but what’s the difference between that and a duvet….the “duvet” was just as fluffy. And is duck feather a good choice?

They look the same and they both are heavier than just a blanket. But why two names? I also see it as a Duvet cover. What the differences??
